Product Description |

Early in the 1980’s, Ray Barnett traveled to Uganda after hearing a report saying, "Over 150,000 orphans are dying of starvation in Uganda". Ray, raised as an orphan himself, desperately wanted to do something. He knew if people back home could only see these beautiful children in person, they would help. That’s when the idea of a children’s choir came to mind. After much prayer and the financial assistance of several churches, a team was sent to Uganda to select and bring out the first African Children’s Choir. Today the African Children’s Choir will delight your heart. Each year a new group is selected, while former members go back home to Africa to receive care and a good education. As a testament to the program’s success, many former choir members are now in leadership positions and making a real impact in their homeland.

This music is very uplifting and well done. The children can be proud of the immense beauty they bring to the world through their hard work and dedication. Through their performances, they will encourage a greater interest in Africa, its history, and its needs.

I teach children art and they all seem to enjoy the upbeat songs and music, even if we don't know the african words. Its a hit.

Just great music that will lift your spirits on a bad day or keep you going on a good day. These children are just amazing. I saw them in person and was so impressed and heartened by them. A great way to donate to a great cause, too, by purchasing their music.

nothing beats a compilation of songs by a children's choir that benefits africa and works to improve the continent's problems. only a handful of these songs are sung in english, but they all are catchy and upbeat. the best song, hands down, is Ndyahimbisa. But all of the songs are simple yet lively. the religious ones, like because u loved me and oh happy day are awesome and truly inspiring! if u can only buy one cd this year, buy It Takes A Whole Village.
