What are you viewpoints on video games?

By Creativity Coach
XxHybridTheoryxX asked:

Do you view video games as simple toys for children? Do you see it as a thing that damages a persons productive abilities and creativity? Do you see it as a waste of money? A distraction even?

Perhaps you see a video game as a fine piece of art. Something that takes millions of dollars to make. Something that is often worked on for years to ensure that people have as much a memorable and fun experience as possible. A means of escaping a harsh reality. A tool used to inspire you to create your own piece of art.
I like the way you think Orange :D

I don’t look that deeply into it. My philosophy is, Less parts than a board game, and controllers are harder to lose than dice.

Videogames are just a type of programming and entertainment. They’re not childish but they’e not really productive. They are hardly art. Videogames are defined by a cold description of what you do in them. We call them action if you shoot and so on. I don’t really play them because I don’t have time. I beleive they are taken too seriously by gamers. answer\

My viewpoint is that I am tired of picking them up. The grandsons leave them strung out all over the place and then expect me to help find them!

No, video games are more for adults than children. Expecially the generation that grew up with them first!
