Product Description |

Crossing into the land of remembering your magical self requires only one thing. When Inspiration knocks, open the door. In 2004, Duirwaigh President Angi Sullins sat down to write a poem for the artists who inspire her. Setting the poem to music and paintings, the short film A Knock at the Door was born. Posted to the Internet in December of that year, it caused an international sensation and has since been seen by over a million viewers. Between these pages lies an invitation to follow your dreams through the door of Possibility to an enchanted land half-dreamed, half-remembered, wholly adored. Angi Sullins is the founder of Duirwaigh, Inc., a multimedia entertainment group in Atlanta, Georgia. A Knock at the Door was her first film and is now a book published by Amber Lotus. Angi creates inspirational cards, books and films with her partner, Silas Toball. They currently live in the mountains of Taos, New Mexico, with their Chihuahuas, Tinkerbell and Izabella Fizzywigg.

Beautiful artwork!
|
| Review Date: December 24, 2009 |
| Reviewer: Skye Austin, North Carolina |
This calendar features vivid, full-color images and wonderful inspirational verse!
For example, May 2010's inspiration is: ""When was the last time you listened to a song from a distant muse? Inspiration often disguises itself as a whistle, a hum or a nameless tune. Like a melody carried on the wind, the muse sings of hopes and dreams and impossible things. If you still your mind and open your heart, you'll hear her distant call and it will set your soul to dancing." May - 2010."
The calendar also features traditional holidays, moon phase and eclipse information, holidays from various spiritual paths, and Mercury retrograde information, too! If you have enjoyed artwork by fantasy artists such as Brian Froud, Amy Brown, and Jessica Galbreth, this calendar is sure to please!
Also note that the 13 images in this calendar are based on the movie and book, "A Knock At The Door" by Angi Sullins and Silas Toball, but that the images on the calendar can not be found in the book or on the DVD.

Remember the magic of life.

| This is a beautiful and enchanting journey to remember and again open up to the magic of the dreams we carry inside us and have lost touch with. The artistry speaks a loudly as the words, and both can carry one to a place of inspiration and possibility, if one will only open the door and breathe a breath of fresh air. This is a wonderful gift, but don't forget to gift it to yourself as well. The calendars that come from this book each year are a daily source of inspiration and hope. It is absolutely beautiful. |

I really can't provide an accurate rating to the actual item, yet but for ALL of the calendar choices I've previewed thus far I would give only a 2 star rating for the info provided.
Generally the back of the calendars gives you a thumbnail sample of the art enclosed for ea month. WHEN SHOPPING FOR CALENDARS AT A RETAIL STORE I NEVER FINALIZE MY CHOICE FOR MYSELF OR A GIFT W/OUT PREVIEWING THE THUMBNAILS FOR THE ENCLOSED ARTWORK. NONE of the calendars I've previewed thus far on your website have provided any illustration other than the front cover, why can't the backcover (or other location if variance) w/ the thumbnails of all artwork also be represented with each offering?? (I understand representation of full view of ea month would be bulky & space eating, but an enlargeable shot of the monthly art thumbnail page would really help!! If I go to search for the same product in retail store to get this info I might as well buy it there & save the shipping-not what u had in mind is it?)
1 w/ variance (I.E. NO THUMBNAILS ON BACK COVER)> http://www.amazon.com/Faery-Realm-Brown-2010-Calendar/dp/B002GJ5UT4/ref=pd_sim_b_4

HAS INFO AS MENTIONED BUT NOT ENLARGEABLE ENOUGH (NO ZOOM OR OTHER SIZE ENHANCING FEATURE) & PAGE MAGNIFICATION DOESN'T HAVE RANGE TO MAKE OUT MUCH >
