These four-size headed pens are fabulous for detail work on acrylic or oil paintings. I use them for portraits. The only thing you need to remember is to buy a larger set. I started with a 24 and a 48, because larger sets were out of stock. Today, I finally got a 144-color set and now I can hardly wait for the weekend to use them. The wider heads make what is almost like a water-color wash over large areas, while the fine point is wonderful for details.

I am a tattoo artist and I like to use markers because they are similer to tattooing in the effect that if you put a color down. thats where it is. no forgiveness... and these colors blend very nicely! I will post a picture for it. they are amaizing. I will be looking into a set with more colors, there isnt a HUGE variety depending on what your doing. the greens are great!

This is a great product. The price was great and the makers are quality markers. The tips on the pen make it really easy to do all kinds of things. I had bought these primacolor markers to do a design on a jacket which unfortunetly I have not done yet but Im still planning on doing. I bought them hoping they would not run on cloth. As of yet I dont have an answer to that at this time because as I have already stated I havent used them on cloth yet. But I do used them for a variety of other things such as cards, notes etc. When you buy these markers in quanity like this you get a much better price on them. This is a superior marker. I have a number of different types of markers for my art work and this is by far the better marker. I have bought these in the past and I would buy them again in the future.
Colors That Delight Artists

I got these for an artist friend of mine, and she was absolutely thrilled. I still have yet to see any of the drawings that she's done using them, though. Still, the fact that she seems to love them quite a bit is a good sign. She seemed to like the sketchbook I got with them more even though it was cheaper! I guess a blank sheet of paper is sometimes worth more than the ability to draw with nothing to draw on.
The Holy Grail of Markers

These are very high-quality, expensive markers. The markers are substantial, and feature a cap at each end, allowing the artist to choose the type of line needed. They fit together in a black plastic case which can be set up at an angle so that they, each with it's own colored dot at the end, are visible at the the same time, for ease of choosing and storing.
The Prismacolor markers are perfect for the professional artist or for those with experience in the type of art that demands markers, such as graphic arts, doing story boards, or the like. I am not such a person, however. I purchased the 24 marker set as well as some Prismacolor pencils (both Premier as well as Verithin) recently to expand my drawing hobby. The pencils are fine for me; I've been using them, and they are versatile for my needs. The markers I will be returning or reselling, though. I don't need anything that fancy. I DO need some gray markers, though, which the 24-set does not have, and I don't want to have to buy a bigger set. Also, I am sensitive to the smell of the markers. Not so bad as some, but still stinky to me.
I've tried a few other types of markers, and decided on a set called "Dual Brush Pens", which is just fine for my limited art-marker needs. I wish they came in more colors. But I'll be using mainly pencils and some paints, so I won't need the Prismacolor markers.

I bought these items for my daughter to use at University. She loves them and enjoys using them. If I need more supplies for her, I will return to Amazon first.
